Jonas Dostert - Gros Carambolage 2022/23

€24,00 EUR

This is our favorite wine. A wine with a story, a product of a rough harvest and personal struggle. Jonas Dostert was not happy with his Pinot Noir from 22, and created this new Carambolage to remind that he is not a robot.

This deep fading-rose-pink-colored wine is a literal “collision” of grapes and flavors that offers a very subtle nose of red currant, blackberry, and herbs. The wine is beautifully firm and structured on the palate and leaves a nicely deep yet focused feel of herbs and red berried fruits in the finish.

The N.V. Gros Carambolage is a Rosé wine, a super unique blend of a light Pinot Noir from 2022, and Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Elbling from 2023 which were fermented and aged in 228-liter used oak barrels along natural lines, i.e. without any intervention and was bottled unfiltered and with little SO2 added (30 mg/l).

Jonas, a rising star on the Mosel near the Luxembourg border, continues to impress with his organically farmed, low-intervention wines that balance complexity, freshness, and effortless grace.
